How to a have a good week

Welcome back to inspiring the power of you blog .Its Sunday again and another week is about to start.

What will your week be like this week ?

Even though we have no idea what the week has in store for us we can create a week we want by doing a few simple things.Keep reading to find eight ways to make your week good.

Step one …..First is to decide it will be a good week,Yes it is that simple.Just decide you are going to have a good week.Own that feeling and take a minute and let it sink in.When you are ready move on to step two.

Step two…..Ask yourself what does a good week look like to you.What a good week looks like to me will most likely be different to what you see as a good week.So have a think and get clear on what a good week looks like to you.Write it down then move on to step three.

Once you have decided what a good week looks like to you jump straight in to step three which is plan ahead.This is not about a to do list it is looking at the week ahead and adding things in that will help your week be a good one.

Step four be realistic.Like do not add in if I win the lotto it will be a good week.Obviously it would be a great week if you did but the chances are slim so do not add something to your good week that will be impossible to create. You want it to be real and that at the end of the week you can smile and say “Dam that was a good week”.That is the goal here after all.

Step five …..mind your thoughts. When we try to do something better for ourselves are ego can have a lot to say and most of which will be negative .When these negative thoughts come in just let them come and then let them go.Do not give them any attention,you are going to have a good week so focus on that being true and do not let that negative voice knock you off track.

Step six …..GO OUTSIDE . Yes get yourself outside at some stage in the week.Even if you go to the gym or have another exercise routine make sure you get out doors and move.Your body ,mind and soul will thank you for it.There really is something in fresh air and movement and I know the weather could put you off but wrap up and even if it is only for a half an hour do it at least once in the week ahead.

Step seven and a very important if not the most important step is ……make sure you plan something nice for yourself. Whether it is a bubble bath on Wednesday evening with candles and essential oils or you buy yourself some flowers,do it.Good weeks happen when you give yourself care.Its a whole 7 days of doing all sorts of stuff,so make sure one of those days are about you and do or buy something nice for you and only you.This is your good week ahead so do not miss this one out.

Last but not least practice gratitude.

Step eight is all about giving thanks. When we stop daily and think about what we have to be greatful for, it is a game changer and mood lifter. At the end on each day think of 3 things you have to be greatful for. You will be surprised how better your week will be when every day you become aware of all the things that are good in your life.
